Compartmentalizing
I've been told by some that I compartmentalize information. To me, it seems only natural that we should organize our thoughts—But each of our schemas is different. It's a marvel that we're able to communicate at all. Each of us with an endlessly complex map that recurses upon itself like an MC Escher drawing. The meaning of a word tied to pictures, sounds, boundless memories and vague feelings which are themselves tied to other words. We try endlessly to communicate our meaning, but in the end, even the color blue evades a resolute meaning. And yet, we manage to understand each other pretty well. Perhaps because we all compartmentalize information in roughly the same way. How rare it is to meet someone truly fresh.
